My Homemade Fuel

Updated: Nov 14, 2021

Food is fuel, simple as that. These are some recipes that have helped me feel neutered, and fueled with my athletic schedule.

Welcome to my recipes! These are all homemade, WHOLE foods filled with nutrients that have helped me realize I am in control of my eating disorder. Join me on this journey filled with the many benefits I have grasped from my homemade products, by conquering ED every step of the way.

This is by far one of my favorites! This is a combination of both carbs and protein, which gives you the nutrients that is needed. I used to feel extreme dizziness, especially during an intense swim or cardio workout. But with this nutritious snack, there is none of that!

All you need is

- A piece of multigrain California sprouted toast or two!!! Listen to your body;)

- Kirkland organic peanut butter I get mine from Costco

- Honey crisp apple

SOO what you gotta do with this apple is cut it in mini pieces, get a pan, spray that baby, and throw the apples on it. Sprinkle cinnamon on those apples, let it sit, and make sure to shake the pan so both sides cook. You will start to know its being cooked. I kinda like mine burnt, it tastes good:))

- Cinnamon

- Organic Wholesome Pantry Honey

So you just place the peanut butter on the toast, and then put the apple on the toast. Here comes my favorite part, throw some honey and cinnamon on it! Thats the best part:) ENJOY!!

So my dad and I always have my "good luck" snacks for swim meets. He is someone who always reminds me of the nourishment that I need and deserve, especially on meet day. These remind me of my dads kind words and wisdom. As my dad would say, food is FUEL!

So this one is a classic ladies and gents, a CLASSIC!

- Kirkland Organic PB 1/3

- Bobs Red Mill WHOLE GRAIN old fashioned rolled oats 3 cups

- Organic Wholesome Pantry Honey 1/4

- 2 scoops of Herbalife formula 1 pb cookie

- Dark Chocolate Chips 1/3 - 1 tbsp of water

Throw all this in a bowl and just mix it up! What you gotta do is make little balls, and leave them in the fridge for about 30-40 minutes. Then they should be super duper good:) OO you know what tastes super duper good, dip those babies in melted dark chocolate. Now thats some good stuff my friends.

Okay this is yum thats all I gotta say. It is a homemade little combination that fuels you properly, especially before or after any workout.

- 3 tbsp of coconut sugar

- 2 mashed bananas

- 2 tbsp of coconut oil

- 4 cups of organic rolled oats

- 1/4 cup of organic honey

- 1 tbsp of vanilla extract

- 1/3 cup of organic dark chocolate chips

So basically all you do is heat it in the oven for 325, and then just mix it up. You just lay it on parchment paper, and leave it in the oven for 30 minutes. You just cool it for 20 minutes, and then eat it up! Yummy

Okay so this is a sweet combo that gives you all your needed nutrients. Something that can either be used as breakfast or a snack!

So all you need is

- Half an avocado

- Handful of spinach

- 2 scoops of Herbalife protein peanut butter formula 1

- Handful of frozen fruit

- 5 Ice-cubes

- 1/4 cup of water

- Kashi go lean PB cereal!

Okay this combos is amazing, all you do is add some cereal then add some of the shake and just keep the pattern going! It is truly yummy, and extremely nutritious.

I am a sucker for PB, its the best type of snack especially with banana! So this is something I put together the other day and am DIEING to share!
